Payment for verification of signatures on petitions by this office in
accordance with Section 99.097(4), Florida Statutes, must be made in
advance. |

When petitions are initially submitted to the office for verification,
they must be accompanied by a campaign check. |

EXCEPTION: |

|
Special district candidates are not required to open a campaign
account if they will not be taking any contributions or making any
expenditures other than payment for verification of
petitions. |

|
Amount of payment is determined by the number of signatures required.
Charge is 10 cents per petition. Any balance due is to be made when
final petitions are submitted for verification. Certification will
not be issued until full payment has been received. |

IF YOU FILE THE OATH STATING THAT YOU CANNOT PAY THE FEE TO COVER
SIGNATURE VERIFICATION, THE FEE WILL BE WAIVED. THE UNDUE BURDEN
OATH MUST BE FILED WHEN PETITIONS ARE SUBMITTED FOR VERIFICATION. |
